Russia number one!
By Yann Saulnier , Sunday October 22, 2017
Here are the results of the sixth and final day of the IFMA European Muaythai Championship 2017 in Paris, France.
48 kg - A Class - Female
FANNY RAMOS (France) VS. DARIA GANZVIND (Russia)
Fanny is like a cat, she moves forward, pins her opponent in the corner of the ring. Her front kicks prevent the Russian from expressing her boxing. The French throws her middle kicks, her left right, she does not miss any opportunity. Fanny is simply wonderful during this fight, all her hits score, her guard is sealed, she blocks every elbow strike. As soon as DARIA rushes on her, she counters her with punches. In the clinch, she turns her opponent round and hits. This way from the beginning to the end of the fight. Very, very beautiful victory for our young prodigy, who wins all the rounds unanimously: FANNY RAMOS.
48 kg - A Class - Male
CHARAK MURTAZALIEF (Russia) VS. ZUBEYR BARIN (Turkey)
CHARAK takes the advantage from the start, he is faster, more observant, his boxing is a game of chess that he controls at every punch in the first round, but from the second round, the Turk puts the king in check, he finally enters the fight. First by clinching and asphyxiating the Russian, then, seeing the guard of his opponent get lower, BARIN hits hard, breaks the holds of his opponent to whom he probably cracks a rib. ZUBEYR BARIN demonstrated to us that we must never give up, and he wins this final.
51 kg - A Class - Female
GABRIELA KUZAWINSKA (Poland) VS. MYRIAME DJEDIDI (France)
The Pole is offensive, she moves forward, her reach troubles Myriame who finds the way to break the distance seizing her leg and throwing Gabriela on the ground. In the middle of the second round, the French has been able to break the reach, so she takes the advantage, and weakens the holds of her opponent’s front leg, the latter does not block anymore. Myriame becomes the boss on the ring, she does not give her a second of respite. Extraordinary fight, pure Muay, a total tenacity that leads MYRIAME DJEDIDI to victory.
60 kg - A Class - Male
MYKHALIO VASYLI (Ukraine) VS. ALEX AVOGARDO (Italy)
A hard first round for the Italian, his opponent is much taller than him and imposes difficult clinches. AVOGARDO is not mobile enough, his little bull strategy does not work, he gets a heel strike in his nose, and several fists. In the second round, the doctor intervenes and stops the fight. Victory for Ukrainian MYKHALIO VASYLI.
51 kg - A Class - Male
BOGAZ TAHLA (Turkey) VS. EGOR ISHCHUK (Russia)
A very playful Russian as usual, he lowers his guard to provoke his opponent. Casually, like a spider, Egor sets his boxing, counters each punch. He dodges, moves backward, then sees an opening and throws a jab or a leg sequence. He is very strong with his fists, still keeping his muay style. So pleasant to see him boxing. The Turk waits too much, is too much careful, we can feel his potential, but he does not use it and loses all the rounds. Victory for Russian ISHCHUK EGOR.
54 kg - A Class - Female
JULIETTE LACROIX (France) VS. SOFIA OLOFSSON (Sweden)

The referee stops. Victory for SOFIA OLOFSSON. Honour to JULIETTE LACROIX who faced a formidable opponent and who lacked a bit of mindset.
54 kg - A Class - Male
KHOLMUROD RAKHIMOV (Russia) VS. ROMAN VAGILEVICH (Ukraine)
An explosive fight at the beginning, the Russian has excellent legs that allow him to impose his pace, he always (or almost) takes the initiative, he is the most offensive. Remarkable withdrawal of the chest, often followed by high kicks in counterattack. Nice victory for KHOLMUROD RAKHIMOV.
57 kg - A Class - Male
RUI BOTELHO (Portugal) VS. VALENTYN BULAT (Ukraine)
The Portuguese has a superb technique, he dodges a hook, then goes behind his opponent, seizes him in clinch and finally throws him to the ground. He loses the first round, but then manages to break the distance and throws superb hooks right in the face, his clinch is better than his opponent’s. There is a draw the end of the second round. RUI frequently hits with straight punches whenever his opponent, who is taller than him, rushes to him. The Portuguese wanted his victory, he has been working on it for two years, and he finally has! Victory for RUI BOTELHO.
60 kg - A Class - Female
VINNIKOVA EKATERINA (Russia) VS. NILI BLOCK (Israel)
A fight with a very balanced level at the beginning, a lot of clinches. The Israeli dodges, seizes her opponent, but dithers a little too much with her then, which does not allow her to succeed in throwing her on the ground. But NILI keeps the advantage, she hits with fists, several sequences in a row. EKATERINA seems to have a lower morale, she is less offensive. NILI throws vertical and lateral elbow strikes, she expresses all her boxing. Victory for NILI BLOCK.
63,5 kg - A Class - Male
MAKSYM PETKEVIC (Belarus) VS. ABDUL MUGDINOV (Russia)
The first round already standing at the ready! The Belarusian immediately analyses the boxing of his opponent, he shifts, throws his legs and he ends some fast sequences with fists, especially hooks that hurt, we can hear the leather of his gloves sting the helmet of the Russian. The Russian reacts, attacks at the end of the second round, without throwing himself, but it's late for a 3X3 minutes. MAKSYM provokes him, he lets his arms low to persuade him to come and hit him in fists, but the opponent will succeed in it only at the last second, which is his last stand. Victory for MAKSYM PETKEVIC.
67 kg - A Class - Male
BRAYAN MATIAS (France) VS. OLEH HUTA (Ukraine)
The audience fires, many supporters came and shout. The Ukrainian is a good observer, he boxes in line, throws round knee strikes, he wants to lower the guard of BRYAN whose holds get weakened with low inside low kicks. The guard of the French gets low when he throws middle kicks, which allows the Belarusian to counter him in jab all throughout the fight. One solution could be the front kicks, the middle with back leg, to preventing OLEH from coming and working. BRYAN cannot get around the boxing of the Ukrainian who takes the opportunity to place his knees and throw fists. Each time BRYAN wants to come, he gets a knee strike. OLEH's leg is wound-up. This opposition is a superb boxing lesson. Victory deserved for OLEH HUTA.
71 kg - A Class - Male
GUZEL BARIS (Turkey) VS. SASYL ZOROKIN (Ukraine)
GUZEL dominates the first minutes, but SASYL understands that the Turk wants to break the distance, he succeeds in it twice, even seems to take the lead, but the Ukrainian understands his boxing and uses his legs: front kicks, middle kicks to repulse the assaults. SASYL’s front leg is incredibly agile, she goes quick and high! Superb technical boxing by SASYL ZOROKIN who wins this fight.
75 kg - A Class - Male
KHUZIN KONSTANT (Russia) VS. OSMAN CEKEN (Turkey)
The Turkish does not let his opponent break the distance, he first uses his legs, then fists, however the Russian does not let him any respite, he decides to go to war by attacking left right, then with high kicks. Both nak muay are exhausted in the third round, they cling, fall and tangle in the ropes. The Russian wins the third round, in which his technique has been wonderful. Each time, the decisions of the judges could go either way because there was only one point’s difference between the fighters in the first two rounds. Victory for CEKEN OSMAN.
81 kg - A Class - Male
NADIR ISKHAKOV (Russia) VS. NIKITA SHOSTAK (Belarus)
The two boxers gave everything, the Russian sought the war, but the Belarusian was able to dodge, to turn his opponent round. At the end of the fight NADIR is exhausted, he stays on guard to avoid his opponent’s punches. The latter is very offensive with legs, elbows and fists. Victory for NIKITA SHOSTAK.
86 kg - A Class - Male
MIKHAIL SARTAKOV (Russia) VS. ANDREA GARDASEVIC (Sweden)

Their level is perfectly equal, a total involvement, any nak muay dreams to fight against an opponent who is so close of himself in technique, and to go higher, always higher together in a fight. This is what has just happened right in front of our eyes. A delight.
We need a winner, and the victory is for ANDREA GARDASEVIC.
91 kg - A Class - Male
JAKUB KLAUDA (Czech Republic) VS. SERDAR EROGLU (Turkey)
EROGLU’s fists are like hammer blows! His arms move as if there were hammers at the end of them. Then the Czech arrives with the elbow, rages like a hurricane, moves forward, pins the Turk on the ropes and throws him a flood of fists, knee strikes, the Turk is counted twice during the second round. The third round is a blow for blow war, an absolute involvement. Victory for JAKUB KLAUDA.
+ 91 kg - A Class - Male
LORENZO JIMENEZ (Spain) VS. AMINE KEBIR (France)
Amine is the most mobile, he touches the Spanish in low kick and the latter does not block. In the second round, the Spanish attacks, he tries to score, he moves forward. In the third round, he surpasses the French’s boxing, throws more punches, he is impressive. But the French will know how to manage his fight with intelligence and strength. With just one point more, the winner is French AMINE KEBIR.
