By Michel Lecorre , Thursday October 19, 2017
Here are the results of the third day of the IFMA European Muaythai Championship 2017 in Paris, France.
57 kg - A Class - Male
ARMEN SIMONYAN (Russia) VS. JONATHAN ZERAY (Sweden)
Despite a real Swedish offensive, Russian SIMONYAN ARMEN is more technical and his punches are harder. Just with the elbow, he can make his opponent move backwards, take him where he wants to the ring, place his pawns and his middle touch. In the third round, his sense of observation excels. He sees an opening and, as quick as lightning, throws a high kick that bumps against the carotid of his opponent. The latter is KO. Victory of Russian SIMONYAN ARMEN.
57 kg - A Class - Male
RUI BOTELHO (Portugal) VS. AURELIEN RASCAO (France)
In the first round the French is counted, he fights defensive and attacks too little... The Portuguese puts pressure on him, he moves forward, keeps him away with his middle, then throws left right, launches a thorough attack. RUI BOTELHO throws knee strikes, locks up, clinches and asphyxiates his opponent, and the latter never manages to counter him. RUI gives a beautiful muay thai fight. Clear victory for RUI BOTELHO.
57 kg - A Class - Male
VALENTYN BULAT (Ukraine) VS. PAVEL DOUHI (Belarus)
A real war of small warriors, both of us resist and fight blow for blow. First with fists to frame, then with legs, finally clinching. Both fighters remain tangled, reach the ribs, fall, and throw elbow strikes. VALENTYN BULAT takes the advantage, he is stronger at clinching and his knees always reach the belly. Victory for VALENTYN BULAT.
91 kg - A Class - Male
JAKOB SYBEN (Germany) VS. JAKUB KLAUDA (Czech Republic)
A superb fight with many clinches. The Czech is more offensive but the German moves back up in round 3, throws knees to belly. Nice dedication by both of us. Czech JAKUB KLAUDA wins the fight.
91 kg - A Class - Male
SERDAR EROGLU (Turkey) VS. WASIM ELKASSEM (Sweden)
A fight of warriors. The Turk has heavy punches, he is not very muay thai styled. The Swedish is more precise, braver, and able to go and fight always with muay thai style. He wins the third round and even more for the audience… Victory at points for Turk SERDAR EROGLU.
63,5 kg - A Class - Male
MAKSIM PETKEVICH (Belarus) VS. TAREK MAHILLON (Belgium)
From the beginning, Tarek MAHILLON does not manage to frame the Belarusian. The latter is noticeably present and agile on the ring, he throws fists a first time on the Belgian. Mahillon is on the ground, weakened. Then round 2, the Belgian is KO by a knee thrown right in his liver. Victory of Belarusian MAKSIM PETKEVICH.
63,5kg - A Class - Male

ALBERT AMIRDZHANYAN (Armenia) VS. ABDULMALIK MUGDINOV (Russia)

86 kg - A Class - Male
MIKHAIL SARTAKOV (Russia) VS. SEBASTIEN LAPLANE (France)
The French is brave, his attacks make the Russian move back, but the latter counters in jab and manages to weaken Sébastien who does not systematically fight back and thus loses precious points. Reversal, LAPLANE throws a wonderful knee to the face during a clinch and a left counterattack in round 3. Sébastien LAPLANE waits for the third round to explode, it’s too late, too bad for him. SARTAKOV MIKHAIL wins.
86 kg - A Class - Male
ANDREAS GARDASEVIC (Sweden) VS. ANATOLI VANAKOU (Belarus)
A balanced fight regarding the level, with a slight advantage for the Belarusian. Punches are powerful on both sides. In the first round, the Swedish is determined as he has never been before, we can see it in his eyes. With grace and power, he takes the advantage. He breaks the holds first in low kick, works in low line, then goes up to the face, and a door opens to him. He throws his knee to the liver of his opponent. Superb. The Belarusian is KO. Very nice victory for Swedish ANDREAS GARDASEVIC.
59 kg - B Class - Male
SOFIANE BOULARD (France) VS. DIN HAZIA (Israel)
From the beginning SOFIANE BOULAND leads the fight, he has great observation skills and perfectly keeps his chest away, he counters with jabs, throws constantly when clinching, wrongfoots his opponent in low kick. Beautiful fight, even if he could have been more prudent with his guard. Clear victory for French Sofiane BOULAND.
57 kg - B Class - Male
KIRIL KITOU (Belarus) VS. STANISLAV GAZITOV (Russia)
The Russian counters then seizes his opponent. He efficiently keeps his chest away then his jabs reach almost all the time the Belarusian’s face, he is smaller than KIRIL but breaks the distance with fists then starts clinching. Clear victory for GAZITOV STANISLAV.
60 kg - B Class - Male
MARWANE ZERGUYG (France) VS. MAZORIEF SHARIF (Russia)
The French is brave, a well-disciplined boy, but from the start the Russian’s tactics overwhelm him. The Russian nak muay probably has much more fight to his credit. SHARIF has a beautiful boxing style, excellent holds, he catches all the opportunities. He throws hard punches, the hematoma on the left palm of the French testifies it, but honour to the Russian’s fair play because on two occasions he went back on his own to avoid shooting the head of the French who had fallen to the ground. Victory for MAZORIEF SHARIF.
71 kg - B Class - Male
MALIK BALIO (France) VS. ANDREAS TROLL (Austria)
Malik starts his fight taking a few seconds to observe, then follows his coach to the letter, frames his opponent, prevents him from clinching with front kicks, throws right knee strikes. The Austrian is counted three times all throughout the fight, he is exhausted. Malik expresses his boxing style, with many knee and elbow strikes. Round 3, the referee stops the fight. The Austrian is completely exhausted. A magnificent victory of MALIK BALIO.
75kg - B Class - Male
SOUFIANE AIT OUCCIME (Belgium) VS. DAVIT HAYRA PETY (Israel)
The Belgium is immediately more precise, avoids the attacks, immediately counters, throws knee strikes, shifts, makes fall, wrongfoots the holds, then clinches throwing elbow strikes. He has the upper hand from the beginning till the end, stays in guard position, fimeu, supple, throws on the ground. A very good fight by SOUFIANE ATOUCCIME, very good muay thai!
81 kg - B Class - Male
KAREN TUMASIAN (Belarus) VS. BILAL CHAREUF (France)
The Belarusian is immediately the boss on the ring, after just 1 minute he knocks the French out with a magnificent right hook. Victory of KAREN TUMASIAN.
45 kg - Junior - Female
JOANA ALVEREZ (Portugal) VS. LUCIE AUBRECSTOVA (Czech Republic)
71 kg - Junior - Male
ROIE ULMAN (Israel) VS. IGOR LESTON (Poland)
ROIE ULMAN imposes his style, his powerful, he magnificently boxes and moves back at the same time, breaks the holds in middle. Victory for ROIE ULMAN.

AMIT MDAH (Israel) VS. ANTONIO KOCHARYAN (Armenia)
The Armenian has a precise boxing style, whereas his opponent’s is a bit muddled at the beginning. Yet the Israeli’s strategy that consists in forcing through is the most profitable one. He wins by KO in round 3 after a clinching sequence. Victory for AMIT MDAH.
57 kg - Junior - Male
BAPTISTE BELLOGO (France) VS. KIBED YAH GOEDON (Israel)
Here it’s the war! The French is more offensive, he charges into his opponent but his attacks lack of precision. KIBED YAH GOEDON’s strategy that consists in forcing through and fighting back is more profitable. Very good adaptation for the Israeli. Victory of KIBED YAH GOEDON.
57 kg - Junior - Male
ANTON BATURA (Belarus) VS. KONSTANTINOS SARKIRIS (Greece)
Like during his first fight, the Greek pleases us with his perfect mastery of muay thai rules, his fimeu style, and he wins all the rounds. He counters in jab, throws hooks on the body, then locks up his opponent in clinching. Excellent. Victory for KONSTANTINOS SARKIRIS, this kid is very strong, muay thai is in his blood. To be continued…

DANIEL DOROSHENKO (Israel) VS. IVAN FEBLES (Spain)
Daniel repulses the attacks, frames, his level is clearly better than the Spanish’. Victory for DANIEL DOROSHENKO.
60 kg - Junior - Male
MIGUEL TAMPORAR (Portugal) VS. HOUSSAN OUBAIR (France)
Despite a very offensive boxing style, he charges into his opponent with fists, does not use his legs enough and does not block enough. MIGUEL’s boxing style is more muay than his opponent’s. The Portuguese gives an excellent fight, in a fimeu and at the same time powerful style. He throws more elbow strikes and counterattacks with fists. Victory for Miguel TAMPORAR.
This third day ends, let’s talk again about Swedish ANDREAS GARDASEVIC’s perfect KO, about Russian SIMONYAN ARMEN’s remarkable fights regarding technique and power. The most engaged fights are the VALENTYN BULAT VS PAVEL DOUHI one and the French JADE JORAND’s one.
